Here you will find links to other organizations and websites that may answer some of the questions and concerns you may have.

Florida Hospital Memorial System

Florida Hospital Home Health is here to assist you.  Your Hospice Case Manager will refer you to Florida Hospital Home Health for care needs that are not covered under the hospice diagnosis.

Need home medical equipment not covered under your Medicare Hospice benefit? We recommend that you call SuperMed for excellent caring service.

Grand Magazine, a magazine written with grandparents in mind, is offering a free trial subscription through the National Hospice and Palliative Care organization.

National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) – National not for profit organization devoted exclusively to hospice care. NHO is dedicated to promoting and maintaining quality care for terminally ill persons and their families, and to making hospice an integral part of the U.S. health care system. You can also find a hospice that serves your area through this site.

The Joint Commission (JC) – The mission of The Joint Commission is to continuously improve the safety and quality of care provided to the public through the provision of health care accreditation and related services that support performance improvement in health care organizations.

Florida Hospices and Palliative Care, Inc. – the state organization of hospice providers in Florida.  Their mission is to ensure quality hospice and palliative care is available and accessible to all Floridians.

Hospice Foundation of America – provides general information about hospice.

Caring Connections, a program under the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization provides an Advance Care Planning Packet which includes instructions for completing your Living Will and Health Care Surrogate designation forms. 

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), part of the US Department of Health and Human Services, has created a podcast series that brings the latest healthcare news and research from experts in the field to the public.
