Since opening in March of 2007, acute inpatient care is available with 24 hour/7 days a week coverage by hospice trained staff.  This 12 bed unit is licensed for general inpatient care. 

This means those hospice patients who are in need of more involved care than is possible in their own home - wherever that may be - may be able to receive what they need here - not in the hospital.  The unit focuses on providing pain management and symptom control to the patient and support to the family. 

Located on the second floor of Florida Hospital Oceanside, we can provide "a touch of home" for those in need.
