Volunteers and pets visit HospiceCare patients in a variety of settings: patient homes, nursing homes, and our in-patient units.

Benefits of Pet Partner Visitation

emotional health of HospiceCare patients.


Volunteers and pets are registered through the nationally recognized Intermountain Therapy Animals Program. The initial registration fee is the responsiblity of the pet partner volunteer. The Intermountain Therapy Animals Program training is covered by Florida Hospital HospiceCare.

We invite you to consider this opportunity if:

•         both you and your pet are calm and friendly
•         your pet can take unusual events, sights, and sounds in stride
•         your pet is even tempered and not prone to
distractions and has good “social skills”
