On Tuesday, February 24, 2009, we met with the Crazy 8 Quilters from Palm Coast to celebrate their donation of the 100th Quilt. Led by Palm Coast resident Pam Taylor, this local group of nine ladies hand-sew quilts for the patients of the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. It has taken the ladies nearly two years to complete the 100 quilts.
Taylor understands the hospice mission; her father was once a hospice patient and the group is very committed to providing these beautiful expressions of love. She brought with her many of the notes received from grateful families and photos of all 100 quilts. After a brief tour of the unit, all those who attended said they are now even more committed to this project.
